Roe deer

Enkele dagen geleden trok ik met Sam naar Nederland om wat reetjes te fotograferen, eigenlijk hoef je daarvoor niet zo ver te rijden maar op deze locatie zijn de beestjes wandelaars en fietsers gewoon geraakt en staat er een mooi veldje knopherik (Raphanus raphanistrum) waar ze quasi gegarandeerd staan te grazen.

Ik kom hier zeker nog terug om wat beelden te verfijnen.

A few days ago I went to the Netherlands with Sam to photograph Roe deer, actually you do not need to go this far away but at this location the critters are somewhat used to walkers and cyclists and there is a nice field with wild radish (Raphanus raphanistrum) where they are almost guaranteed to graze.

I will be back here next year to do some fine-tuning on the pictures.

Vosges Chamois

Onderweg naar Toscane, waar ik een weekje vakantie doorbracht, reed ik door de Vogezen. Het beloofde een mooie zonsondergang te worden en dus besliste ik om even te gaan kijken rond de Hohneck. Een goede beslissing want de gemzen waren massaal aanwezig en de zonsondergang was inderdaad de moeite.

On the way to Tuscany where I spent a week’s holiday I drove through the Vosges region, it promised to be a beautiful sunset, and so I decided to go have a look around the Hohneck. A good decision because the Chamois were massively present and the sunset was indeed worth it.
