Taïga ghosts and Tango chickens
It had been 4 years since I travelled to Finland to photograph brown bears and wolverines. That last one had proven elusive and thus we didn’t succeed in 2014. Time for a new opportunity. Fixed travel buddy Wim (Yes, that snowmobile Whisperer from suggertown) accompanied me on the trip, this time without any significant accidents.
Half of the trip we had earmarked for Wolverine and that turned out to be a success with multiple animals on site daily. What an animal!
Slowly but surely the bears came out of hibernation to.
There was some side-entertainment in the form of small birds. Ideal for “stamp photography”. Siskins, Common redpolls, Bullfinches were sometimes present in large numbers. A bag of sunflower seeds did the job.
And some crazy chickens dancing Tango…
